VO2 Max test @ Gatorade sports science research lab

complete guesstimate on mileage and elevation gain. the first 6minutes i think i was walking and then the next 3 minutes was a weirdly slow walk/run. after that i was running but the speed was never fast. they used the bruce method versus the modified gerkin protocol i did during the summer at benedictine so my vo2 max was lower but honestly my effort this time wasnt quite as hard as i went during the summer. since the baseline of the test was just to make sure i'm healthy enough to actually perform the sweat research study that i'll be doing the next couple of weeks and you only need a 45 vo2 to be elgible, i cashed in earlier than i could have since i'm racing tomorrow. when i finished the test i was at a little over 21minutes in and the treadmill was at 6mph/22% grade. they measured my vo2 at 68.7 vs. the 75.9 i tested at during the summer. i'm not as fit as i was then but the variance is still very large which was explained to me that the bruce method elicits lower scores typically. doesnt matter anyway. the other thing that was different was this test i had to have a mouthpiece in almost like a mouthguard so breathing was really weird for a while vs. the facemask i got to wear at benedictine which i feel like was easier.
