2nd meet of the year. only in f/s to get more experience. b/c of the heat the meet changed the f/s races to 2.25 miles instead of a 5k. i was super pissed. i led the first mile in 5:23 and got passed right before entering the woods by a guy from muscatine. i got trapped in 3rd through half of the woods and finally moved back into second, but 1st had a 10 second lead. i tried catching up but i just couldnt do it. i came in through the 2 mile at 11:23 and finished in 12:40. overall it wasnt too bad, but i think i could have caught the guy easily had it been a 5k. so i got second and as a team the f/s got second. im kind of disappointed, but at the same time, it was hot and i didnt really feel that great anyways. this meet doesnt really matter, and i cant wait until next saturday so i can run at woodruf and ill finally be able to run at detwiler for the first time in high school
