Dr. Keeler 1500 meter- new lifetime PR 3:52.41(could definitely be more satisfied)

1500 at our first last chance meet. Wasnt sure up until doing strides before the race if my hammy was gonna be good to race. Felt good on strides, with the help of sombra and ibuprofen so gave it a go. I got out well from the gun and immediately settled into 2nd place on the shoulder of 1st. We went through super slow through 300 (47.6) which sucked. I knew we were going slow but I REALLY didnt want to have to lead today. First 400 was 63 which is super slow and I still was in great position. I waited another 100 meters to see if anyone would surge up front and no one did so I took the lead at 500 and lead for a little bit. The 300-800 split was 62mid. The next lap I got passed by one guy but was still in great position. That split was 61.7. The last lap a guy went around me and 1st around 250meters out. I went to move around the turn 2nd place guy but he reacted to the initial move and cut out from the inside of lane 1 and completely cut me off (for the 2nd time in the race). Like the first time, it completely fucked up my stride and I gave him a full arm extension shove. That was with 170 to go and tried recovering into a good kick. Was tying up the last 100 but didn't slow down too much, just couldn't go as fast as I wanted and ended up getting 3rd and closed in 60.7. Finished with a lifetime PR by a tenth or two of a second but really pissed that we went out so slow. I am definitely in shape and ready to break 350 and with the perfect weather today we had a great opportunity. In utter disbelief all these guys showed up today to qualify for natties and none of them tried getting out fast enough to actually qualify. I'll be pacing Andy and chris next week through in 3:05 thru 1200 so hopefully I can close it off well for a another PR. Hammy surprisingly felt good during the race. I figured if I felt it, it would happen the last lap but even as I tied up a little I didn't feel it. Overall a solid day given how my body has felt but definitely still hungry and more in the tank
