About me: I was not blessed with a fast metabolism or a love for healthy food. Running is the only barrier between myself and being chubby. |
Why do I run: Motivation to stay fit and healthy is what keeps me running regardless of the conditions; I also take a great amount of satisfaction from feeling pain and soreness after a run. Most importantly, I find that the people around me also willing to brave the weather are the type of people that I genuinely enjoy to spend time with. |
Why I started running: My freshman year in high school I casually mentioned to my friend that I would like to be fit. He, being the star of my school's track team, immediately set me on a training regimen to get fit. Eventually, I grew to enjoy running with or without his pushing. I then joined my high school cross country team, becoming his co-captain. |
