Notes
Was planning on trying to rabbit the 1500 today. I massively underestimated the racing style of the field in our heat. Despite some decently windy conditions, the race went out blazing. I got shelled off the line and couldn't even get near the front. Had to break out and surge around people just to get near the lead. Finally took the lead coming through the 400 in 60. Made it through 800 in 2:03 before getting passed by 3 guys just before the 900 meter mark. Was going to try to bring them through 1200 in 3:06 but pushing them from behind wasn't gonna help anyone's cause so just dropped out at this point. I'm definitely not smooth going out that fast but felt like 2 seconds slower would've felt like cake. Jake got his time that should get him in so I'll leave today happy enough.
