Not my best race. Course was a bit more technical than expected...50% was great for the CX bike, but the other 50% would have been more suitable for my mtn. bike. After falling on one sandy single-track stretch during my warm-up I thought it better to run that stretch during the race. I certainly didn't lose any time doing this. Spent a lot of time crashing (in part from a pedal that wouldn't catch the cleat when I needed it to or would release when I'd hit a bump, but then wouldn't release at other times)...feeling a lot of pain, today. Covered in bruises and scrapes. After a couple of laps I was too far behind to catch the next person ahead of me, so I simply managed enough effort to stay in front of the people behind me.
Cylocross is almost as dumb as running.
