Had planned 70+ miler for several weeks...on the hottest day of the year, thus far. 95º and humid out in shadeless farm country. Couldn't drink enough or replace electrolytes fast enough. Started experiencing chills and headache by 12 miles in. Lungs suffering from seasonal allergies/cold and air quality alert day. Cut ride in half.
