Mahomet Half. Set up a w/o on my watch beforehand to do 4 mi progressions at 5:45/5:40/5:35 paces then just close. Only took about two miles and I knew I wasn't gonna get moving much faster than 5:40 pace at any point, and hopefully not until the last couple of miles. Had hoped I'd be able to scoop third for some $$$ but a couple of Africans from WI showed up so that was disappointing. Got 7th OA anyway. Rallied a bit on mi 12/13 after relaxing a bit on 10/11. My dad was biking with me the last 10k or so and kept trying to get me to close on the kid in front of me, but we must've been surging/relaxing at the same times on the course b/c I just couldn't close it down at all. As Rubis would say, today was a PERSONAL WORST for the half lol so that kinda sucks
