This was THE long run that I both looked forward to and dreaded at the same time--1 mile w/u, 18 miles @ GMP + 20 seconds (7:00-7:05), 1 mile c/d. Distance shown in entry is readjusted to account for Garmin overages, as I set watch so that each lap = 1.01 miles (Garmin distance for run was 20.28, Garmin pace was 6:59).
Slowest mile of quality portion was a 7:05 split, while fastest was a 6:45. As expected, run felt very manageable through the first half, then I noticed that I had to concentrate to make sure I hit my goal paces in the second half. Extremely happy with the way the run went--a killer way to end week 1 of my peaking phase (88 miles with tons of race-specific quality).
