I had a rough day at the race. Briefly - I was a little under goal pace through the halfway mark but feeling like it was too much work only that far into the marathon. A few more miles about 5 seconds slower than goal erased my small buffer and from there I just faded more and more with only a couple of miles back near goal pace trying to talk or will myself into being brave and strong and fast. My goal of a 3:30 finiish was missed bigtime with a 3:56. Now I'm trying to figure how much the humidity figured in, where my fitness really is compared to my expectation, and such things.
