1500 at GVSU. Another PR, but another terrible race tacitly. Got off the line slow and got shot to the back. We were going so slow and when I saw 51 at the 300, I got out. Heard 67 at 400 and could see Rylaarsdam and Hendrik had a gap on the pack. I went straight HAM to catch them and caught them with 450 to go. Was with Rylaarsdam with 150 to go, but paid miserably for my big move to catch them. From 300-1100 I ran roughly a 2:07 to make up the gap. If I just get out better, I run a 4:03 with Rylaarsdam. I'm still happy I PR'd running terrible tactics, but disappointed to know that there was a better time in that race. I'm ready to get back to the 5k next week after these speedy days. Afterwards I could not get off the turf because I had so much lactic acid built up. I have not felt that feeling since high school...
