Why do I run: I run because it is free (sorta). I run because the scenery changes. I run because I want to improve my overall health and running allows me to set very specific goals and benchmarks. I run because somewhere beneath the sweat and the pain, I enjoy it.... at least that's what I keep telling myself. |
Why I started running: Quit an 18-year pack-a-day smoking habit in June of 2011. I am now on a quest to see what my body is capable of with regard to fitness and health. Quite the 180. Progress has been slow, and my numbers are disappointing, but I'm not making any excuses. |
