Course was short. Actual GPS mileage was 3.06 the distance and pace/time listed above is an estimate based on the V dot calculator.

Felt really good, wanted to go out around 555 and see if I could pick it up a bit for the last mile. Ended up running a very comfortable 1st mile in 555, 2nd mile was 549 still felt good, but was working at that point. Really happy that I was able to run a 541 3rd mile. Was within 10 to 15 seconds of first and second place, but didn’t have the kick to catch them. Limiter was definitely the lungs. My legs easily had a lot more today. This is probably my best paced 5K ever.

I’d probably could have gone out slightly harder, but I’m not sure I would’ve been able to close it down like I did. Really happy with how quickly I’ve gotten back into shape post stress fracture. Need to make sure I continue to train, smart and not do anything stupid. I’m gaining a lot of fitness training conservatively. I’ll hit 50 miles next week and keep it there until cherry blossom.
