The course was brutal... the first hill was a monster and every time I tried to collect myself on a downhill I would end up having to go uphill again. I must say that it wasn't a fun race that way.
I did pretty good on strategy though... I was in a pack of 3 guys. I sat back and let the other two battle it out... surging back and forth and when I thought they had done each other in surged past them with about 1.5 miles left. Learned a valuable lesson about racing... better to be patient.
