I decided to run a fast mile today. Unfortunately, it was windy, my head was stopped up, and I had long sleeves and long pants with me. My legs also still felt weary from the weekend's workout. So I probably should have just done an easy run today.
But with less than a quarter mile of warmup, I took off running. I regretted it almost immediately, but I pressed on. I felt like I ran a 5:00 pace the first half mile and a 7:00 pace the last half mile. It was ugly, but it was my fastest mile so far.
