My plan called for 6x400 at 1mi pace, but I wasn't feeling it today. I'm trying to get over my cold (or whatever this breathing issue is), and a speed workout sounded like crap. I'm hoping to do well at the Music City Half this weekend, so I decided to just do an easy run today.
But after 3 miles or so, I felt like picking up my heels a little more. Then the last mile I felt like running faster, so I picked it up some more. My easy run turned into a progression run, so I got a little bit of speedwork after all. But this was the sneaky, relax-into-it kind. It was a good workout.
