I took off too fast, and I felt like I was running in molasses on the cinder trails. It started raining hard and thundering during mile 4, so that make it even tougher. I was hoping for 25 something, but this wasn't a bad effort. I passed the 5K point around 19:56, but my last mile (and third mile!) was too slow to get under 26.
Jimmy Fryer pointed out that I've been going out too fast and fading. He's right about that.
