Great race! Martha and I stuck to the 1 minute run / 1 minute walk ratio. We leapfrogged the people who were running non-stop, and finished about the same time as a lot of them!
Temperature at the start was 54, and up to about 70 by the end. Good breeze off the ocean. People agreed that it's a fairly hilly course.
The day started off on a bad footing when I realized the Focus had a flat tire. There was not time for Martha to come pick me up, so I called a taxi. It came promptly and I made it to her house in time.
My calves started "talking" around mile 12, but other than that, I didn't have any twinges. My right ankle and arch held up great! I could definitely see trying another HM next year.
