Notes
Capital Ale House 10-miler near Fredericksburg, VA. Temperature estimated - it was quite humid (the dew point now is 73) but not really hot. Course was hilly, especially the second half; and much of the last mile was on an unpaved, windy trail in the woods, so there was no way to pick it up towards the end. I was hoping for 1:07 or 1:08, but considering the humidity and the course I'm happy with the race I ran. I was averaging around 6:52 at halfway, but a hill in mile 6 knocked me decisively over 7 minutes, and I stayed there for the series of hills after that. For the first time before a race, I ate only a banana and gels (3) this morning, even though I woke up almost 3 hours before the race started. Worked fine.
