Gradually accelerated to around MP (7:25) in roughly the first half, then held it around MP for roughly the second half. Ran along the metro trail, around the Capitol, then to the Lincoln Memorial, and back. Stopped twice for maybe a couple minutes each: at Patrick's fountain for a drink and a gel, and around 10 miles at the stairs to the metro trail. I've been noticing that when I start getting tired I have trouble maintaining a consistent pace and actually start running faster than I can handle for long. I need to work on staying controlled and holding a steady (fast but not too fast) pace when tired.
