Official time 1:24:52, which is 13 seconds off my PR. My glute had trouble with the middle section of the course, which had a lot of short ups and downs in a park: I ran a 7:00 mile in mile 7. After that I was able to regroup but could only get back to roughly my pace in the first half instead of speeding up as planned. I didn't expect the middle 3 miles or so to be so difficult based on the course profile online. The rest was almost entirely flat except for a steep downhill in the last half mile. The headwind in the first half had an effect, but I felt strong going into the park until those hills snuck up on me. I'm pretty sure that I could have run under 1:24 today (at least my B goal) if it weren't for that almost cross-country section in the middle of the course. My PR, such as it is, was set on a totally flat course, so this was a better performance. I'm moving in the right direction but need to get this glute stronger....
