Super windy: steady at 20-30 mph with gusts double that. Race in Alexandria on a straight out and back course: against the wind on the way out, and with the wind on the way back. Strongest winds I recall ever running in. Surprised that I managed an ok time, considering. Stomach off, and inside right hamstring sore afterwards. Official time 42:34. 41st out of 589 overall. 14th out of 109 in 30-39 age group. I think my watch at the turn-around said 22:35, which means I ran the second (wind-aided) 5k in 20 flat.
