Thoughts from the end (?) of the season (10/29):

This was a great race for me. It helps that I know this course is silly fast and that I could just get up and fly. Started out pretty quick and that meant I didn't get caught behind a slow pack. Started basically on the line (subvarsity race for the win, I guess). Felt good through two miles and could see the leaders at that point. Starting lagging at mile 3, Kyle caught up with me, and then we played off each other. That was an excellent kick in the pants in a way. We also starting catching up with Coast Guard runners. By mile four, I had opened up a gap to Kyle, but was dicing with Coast Guard. Got one of them with about 1K to go, and then kicked with 400 to split off the other guy. And it worked. This race was a bit of a turning point. It meant that I felt like I could go out and bomb along with aplomb. Also, I was third for subvarsity, which meant I was still basically the bubble-man for the top ten (Shane was slower, but he ran after us). It really meant that for Cities, I was ready to go out and gun it.

Field stats are SV race; gender is team (I was 3rd of 10 in SV on the team).
