Boom.

Will write up more tomorrow morning because it's late tonight.

EDIT: So this was a really good race for me. Overall, it felt really fast which I was not expecting. Everything was between 37 and 38 except for the first lap and the last lap (I think).

1) Preparation for this race was excellent. Warmed up an hour before the start for 15 minutes, which works very well for me.

2) I never really stopped moving before the race except for a few moments and putting on spikes. That also worked very well. I did take off my pants a little bit early, but I put them back on.

3) Started in the barrel on the inside. That was about perfect for me because I could drop back but still go fairly hard.

4) Through the first lap, I was basically at the very back of the pack. I think I saw a 39 or so.

5) After the first lap, my game plan was just hit 38s. But Anthony was ahead and cruising with 37s so I went with him. That turned out to work basically perfectly.

6) 1000 m in, we split 3:10 on the nose. I think we had passed Shane at this point, but I don't remember.

7) Anthony started flagging a little bit, so I jumped into the lead and he tried to hold on. I then repeated that motion for basically everyone that I could: drop in for a short moment and then go around. I passed Joe with about 500 meters to go and he definitely responded.

8) About 500 from the end, I think I ramped up the intensity which worked for me.

9) Finished 7th, which I totally didn't realize. After the race, checking the results, I realized that the guy ahead of me was from Bowdoin and that I was less than 2 seconds off him. And then we tied. Dang.

Overall, this was a good race.
