Thursday run continues to be my most difficult run of the week. Some of that has to do with it being on shorter rest -- Wednesday run has to be done in the evening after work & I've been getting the Thursday run done by mid-morning to avoid the heat of the day. And today the sun was also a little warmer than ideal. That said this run was much better than last week although there is still a lot of room for improvement. The first 3 miles were solid & consistent. I did have some difficulties with the harder 3 mile progression effort, but I did run pretty consistently for miles 4 & 5, increasing the effort & lowering the pace slightly in each mile. I did feel a little spent by the end of mile 5 & did stop at a fountain to hydrate and douse myself with water. And when I took off again, I still ran strong in the final mile & for most of the mile did drop the pace to about 9:15, but lost a few seconds crossing a street in last tenth of a mile. Overall this run was going in the right direction, but still some work to do.
