Decided to reverse the weekday schedule to accommodate not being able to run on Christmas Day. Tempo run went very well. Nice easy & relaxed warm up mile. Slowly built up effort during mile 1 of the 4 mile tempo portion of the run, but by the end of the first tempo mile was running at "half marathon effort". Was able to maintain that effort for the remaining 3 miles. Stride & cadence was very consistent during the entire 4 mile tempo section & as a result pace increased slowly, but steadily, during that portion of the run. Transition to cool down effort was seamless & the pace for the cool down mile felt really easy after the harder effort during the tempo section.
