An ok run, but not my best executed long run by any means. My regular partner for the long runs is out of state for 3 weeks so I had to find another group to run with. I picked the 9:30 pace group, which, unfortunately, tends to run aggressively and faster than advertised. That's what happened today. I stayed with them for about 3 1/2 miles and while I was not uncomfortable running the faster earlier pace, it took more out of my legs than I anticipated. By mile six I had to slow down below my usual pace to maintain an easy effort through mile 9. While miles 6-9 were a little slower than I've been running recently, my cadence and stride remained steady and consistent. Plus the good news is that I was able to increase my cadence, drop my pace. and hold the faster pace in miles 10 & 11 (the 2 "fast finish miles) even though those 2 miles consisted mostly of a moderate upgrade. However after the "fast finish" miles, I did take the "cool down" final mile very slow and very easy. Finished full set of exercise routines after the run.
