very difficult run; Never really felt comfortable. Heat & humidity combination was not very good plus one less hour of sleep because I started an hour earlier in an unsuccessful effort to finish before heat got too bad. Struggled for first 3 miles, felt a little better miles 4 through 8, but from mile 9 to the end, I had to slow it down and had to push myself to finish run.
Nutrition notes:
Friday dinner: 1/4 cup whole wheat pasta, steamed fresh cauliflower & cup of Greek yogurt. Pnut butter energy bar 45 minutes before run & banana 20 minutes prior. One gel every four miles & 4 oz of Gatorade about every 2 miles.
