Gadzooks, this course was WAY hillier than I remembered from 2 years ago! Still, 20-second improvement over last time, which says something as I ain't getting any younger.
5th woman overall, 2nd place masters (Well, 3rd overall woman was masters, so technically 3rd. Damn all these fast old hags! 4 of the top 6 women were over 40, for pete's sake.). Caught 3rd place masters chick (who beat me pretty handily at the Jack 5-miler last October) at mile 1.8 and traded leads a billion times until the BIG hill at mile 2.2...She stopped completely at one point (WTF?) and then zoomed past me near the crest which kind of pissed me off. Then I caught her on the downhill and lost her completely in the final 2/10. Heh heh heh.
Won an assload of cookies and assorted crap in a big basket. And by "crap" I mean decadent food that I'm secretly thrilled to have. GOOD TIMES.
