Meet at Rowan College. Grassy loop course set up like a figure 8, since for any loop we were never running in the same direction. Very flat, however the footing was very tricky, many patches of gnarly roots, acorns, sand with rocks, loose dirt with rocks, etc. The most exciting part of the course was the hay bale "jump"! Perfect racing conditions, cool (but warm enough to feel hot in the warm up) and no humidity.

didn't feel like a race day the day before or even the day of and because of that I wasn't nervous at all going into the race. During strides from the line I kept thinking if I wasn't nervous that I wouldn't be motivated to get off the line and I'd get stuck in the back. And of course I wanted to run well despite it not feeling like a race because it was an important meet! Despite all of it I think I got out fine. I felt bad because Maddie was to my right and going into the first turn I slowed down a little and pinched her out a bit. Continually picked it up and was finally in a good position by the first mile. Which was a huge improvement form Pre-Regionals where I wasn't in a good spot until 1.5 miles plus in.

What's more exciting is how out team did! Everyone ran amazing and we won the race!!! Every week at get more excited by our accomplishments and what we are capable as a whole. It's extremely exciting to see everyone improving! I can't believe that our top 5 are all faster than what I ran last year! Killin' it girls! P.S. our average time was 21:51, faster than anyone ran at Pre-Regionals. It's crazy what a difference 2 weeks can make, and we still have 2 more 2 weeks until Regionals.
