This never came together in terms of how I felt, but on paper things went pretty much exactly as I planned. I just felt tired and sluggish and out of it, and I had to stop to shit between intervals, so that fucked everything up too. The good news is I was shooting to hit 5:25-35ish pace (so around tempo pace like the JD formula suggested, but a tiny bit quicker), so everything I did was right in range -- my splits were just a little all over the place.

I'm not thrilled about this, but I'm not completely bummed either. I did it not even 12 hours after hitting a 10 miler, and it was 5 A.M., so I did what I could. The fact I hit those times under those conditions, and with up and down hills on both intervals, is a win!
