Gasparilla Distance Classic - half marathon
The race started in the low 60's with high humidity. Once I got off Davis Island (mile 6) the wind really picked up with gusts in the low 30 mph. Running south on Bayshore the gusts really stood me up and made that 3.5 portion very difficult. Coming back to the finish the wind helped but it didn't have the positive psychological to offset the run into it.
Overall it was a good race on my favorite HM course. I missed my goal by over 2 minutes but I still beat my previous PR by almost 2 minutes.
