Notes
Well this was wonderful. Definitely a break through run. I had intended to look at my watch the whole time to keep myself in check after last week's nonsense. But then I couldn't help myself and decided once again I would go by feel but this time I just wouldn't be a jackass.
So I made a mental note to just start a bit easier and work into it, and that's exactly what I did. I could tell I was probably going a bit too fast about half way through but I just felt so damn good I wanted to keep it going. What I was most happy about was how I strong I felt on all the hills.
Now clearly I'm not going to go with 8 minute pace for the marathon, but this run felt great. Still plan on sticking with an 8:10 pace, but hopefully this time I'll be able to keep it going.
Ha, I just went back and looked at last week's pace run and I averaged almost the same pace. I guess that 10 degrees made a big difference because that felt like so much more effort.
