Holy moly. This was rough. I felt like I was running through pea soup. I guess I am not acclimated to this level of humidity. I mean 72 is totally fine, but man was this hard. The sweat was dripping of the brim of my hat like a saline drip, alternating on each side every second. Look at my HR through out while averaging over 9 minute pace. Thank goodness I took water with me, and even still I'm sure I lost a ton of water weight. I "kicked" it in under 9 minute pace the last mile just to prove this run didn't beat me, but yeah this was a tough one.
I think as it gets into summer, I'll get acclimated to this and it won't be so bad. I'm really happy I got this in and hit 10 miles for the first time in a long while. Looking to hit 30 this week with a few tomorrow. That's a nice milestone as well. My legs felt fine throughout. I have this top of the foot pain near my shin that's been bothering me on and off for months, but I think that affects volleyball more than running. Just need to be careful. Now I rest!
