Nice. Only a 9 second PR, but for not much running and a lot of smoking the last two years, it's pretty damn good.
It hurt a lot the last mile. And by a lot, I mean a lot. I passed some kid a few hundred yards before the finish and he tried to re-pass me, but couldn't. He ended up puking a lot at the finish. And by a lot, I mean a lot. I almost puked too, but only because he was puking so much. I thought during the race that I probably should run a little faster in miles one and two, but after mile 3 and change, I'm not so sure.
Also, 1st place in the Clydesdale category. I also would have won my age group if I hadn't signed up as a Clydesdale. Huh, I guess all the fast guys must have run the 10k. My first time winning any kind of hardware, so I'm pretty happy all around.
