This morning run was actually split in two. Running partner came by and we headed out to run 3 miles at a faster (but not tempo) pace. If you have been following along, he is just getting back at running after taking a few weeks off, and so when we kicked it up a bit in the second mile he couldn't sustain it for more than the first 3/10 of a mile and we needed to slow down. We ended up cutting it short to just two miles because he just couldn't keep going. I know what it is like - I have been there before.... as we all have!
After he left I felt like I needed a bit more so I went back out for two more miles, but this time I wanted to go ahead and kick it up a notch, so I did.
Due to the reasons above their is a walk break + a couple minute break before the second two miles. The first two was just under a 8:50 pace, and the second two was just under a 8:10 pace..... very pleased!
