Set out to do 8 miles at marathon race pace. Went a bit fast, but turned out to be close to where I wanted to be. I wanted a pace between 8:45 and 9:00, 8:38 is pretty close but a bit on the low end. I realized this after the second mile and tried to slow down a bit.
