Yes, there is something to be said for mimicking race conditions when possible. But perhaps it would be an even better idea to skip the rare race that is way too hot or way too cold. Yes, there will be few races that feature ideal conditions but I'm not convinced that you are a better athlete for running in misery either.

What about races when didn't get enough sleep...you couldn't get your usual fuel...you misgrab a water...your pissed off at someone...your toe nail fell off...or they start the race by whispering go instead of blowing a cannon? What about those races? Will you be skipping those too?

I'm with you Egad. Can't compete with Cuch when it comes to bearing the uncomfortable. Who else can run 54 hours straight? Or was it 56? After 4, I'm spent. And 24? That's for crazy folks like Cremer and Beaulieu. Hell, WTF!
