So, I put off this run all day. I really didn't feel like running. I think part of it was the solitude of the day, but a lot of it was the partial-fail 18miler last weekend. I got my ass out the door in the evening. Coach has a tempo run planned, but I wanted to revisit the 18miler on a day that wasn't as brutal and a course that was flatter.

I ran Riverview, then back through town. Carried perpetuem the whole time. Took a 30sec breather every 2miles or so after the first 4. The pace was slow. I just wanted to make the distance.

Then, while running around the track/carpet, I decided that a mile of MP would be a nice way to finish off. But I wasn't really up for it -- the mile before was pretty slow and quitting was on my mind. I was pushing through. But I decided that if I was out there running, I might as well do it. So, I put in the first mile at MP (7:20). And during that time I kept wanting to quit. But I did a little self-assessment: legs, feel fine; endurance isn't bad; not really in any pain except being tired. Okay, so what the fuck and I bitching about. So, I did the first. Then went for another (7:10).

Felt pretty good. And lifted my spirits. Even though the run was pretty slow, the 2 @ MP let me know my endurance wasn't all crap.
