Surgery turned into a much worse reality than guessed. A cyst had formed under my lower right wisdom tooth deep in the gum. It had grown and destroyed a large part of my jaw bone, tooth beside the wisdom tooth and wrapped itself around a nerve. The removal was difficult and the nerve was severely damaged. I now have 6 weeks on a soft diet to prevent my jaw from breaking, numbness on the lower right side of my mouth, lips, chin, and cheek. It will take 6 months for the nerve to regenerate and the jaw bone will reach maximum strength in 12 months. Never as good as before "due to my age" the nurse stated. Wow. I'm feeling old for the first time!
Treadmill after taking pain meds. Not easy but I'm hoping this is as bad as it gets.
