First long run of my marathon training this year that I have felt went well.
At 5 miles I felt like I could run forever. At 10 miles I was not thinking the same thing, but at least it felt good at the outset. Took gatorade and food this week, a big mistake I messed up on last week.
This run is supposed to be a cut-back week and I was really only scheduled for a 2 mile easy run tomorrow. However, next week, when I am supposed to do 12 miles, I will be on a 3 day hike and will not be running.
This is the longest run in many months by far. I think my previous recent longest run was 7.8 miles. This was a big step forward. Last week's 10 mile run ended up as a 6.5 mile crash. Poor fueling and hydration.
