This was my first marathon. Went well. No real time goals. I figured I would run between 4:30 and 5:00 with all my training focusing on a 4:45 finish. I just planned to go out and have fun. I was on pace for a sub 4:30 at mile 21, but I was not sure I could hold it together. At mile 24 I was losing some time, but still felt like I could make it. Miles 25 and 26 I had to walk a bit more than I had to in the rest of the race. I was still pleased with my time.
My big goal was to just have fun.
