Completely took over Birkel's legs because of his hot coal feet. Apparently, he didn't check my legs before asking me to switch and he ran my trail leg that wrecked him. Whoops.
Megan passed off to me and I was off to the roads (!). Our team was further behind so I got to catch some people. Cars were also driving along the route which made the time pass. Cooler morning, although super humid. I was planning on saving it more for my next leg but I got kind of caught up in the hunting game. Hills were not so bad either, almost every up had a down.
