Second Birkel run of the day. I was super nervous going into this because I had remembered it from previous years. Description said pretty much uphill the whole run, first 4 with long grades and rolling after that. After hanging on the road for awhile, the weather cooled off when the afternoon storms started rolling in and the sun went away. This was an immense help (and relief after yesterday). The second mile was definitely tough but after I crossed the highway at 4, the road was pretty easy. Got passed around 5 or so which made me mad because I felt like I was rolling. Finished out day 2 strong and happy to be done pretty early (and before the rain).
