COMMENTS: Showers stopped right before the race. Ran easy up the hill from the start then poured it on on the long downhill when terrain started up again there was agroup of runners coming up on me any passing but I picked it up and held with the rear of that group. On the next downhill I was able to pass many and keep distance going up. CR Boomers taught me to lean forward, shorten stride and fly down hills! This worked well as I could see so many runners braking on the downhills. It was really nice running up the steep hills with people because everybody slows and as long as you keep distance or get closer to ones ahead, it feels easier.

I was going about as fast as I could to make it 5K. Luckily we did not have to do the fiteness loop so I kne we were on the home stretch which was going to be mostly up hill with some nasty steep short hills. Just kept pushing and as I came to the final steep incline which opend up to the finish area, there were two kids syaing come on come on! The last guy said to me "Hurry up, don't let him pass you" and he looked right behind me and said come on to someone else. That did it and I really dug in and nobody passed me!

Result: 1st Seniors (I hate that term) - 2 years in a row!

23:48 (7:41 pace) not a really fast pace but those steep little hills were a killer!
