Tried to focus on keeping hips tilted forward and spine straight with that angle. Felt like I had less control in that position but there was significantly less pounding on my lower back and shins. Ran 7:40 pace as a result and, though I was winded, only had to stop twice to really stretch. Overall felt pretty good.
I shortened the course map distance to reflect the dirt trails taken along Lubber Run, which are a lot more fun, fast, and less impact than the paved route descending from Arlington Blvd. That would be a fun mid-run tempo.
