Descended Alum Cave Trail from Mt Le Conte. Was really moving in some parts. The morning sun was melting the snow/ice into a slush that formed nice rivulets down the moutainside. Really beautiful and nice sounds. Jogged in some places. Trekking poles were a life save both up and down. Hiked/ ran the last mile along the gushing creeks that cut the gentle grade down to the trail head. Then drove back to DC. A good short trip. Worth the experience.
