Over the past couple of weeks or so I've been practicing not looking at my watch at all and just going off of feel. It's minor, but still something to improve

I've been working with the idea of the last three miles of a half marathon being my "kick", picking it up progressively. Not sure if that's the best strategy or if a kick should be shorter, but it's working so far

I definitely support this strategy. It's worked for me with the trail half marathons I've raced. Somerfield used to do long runs like this.
