5 miles in Ludlow, MA (near Doron's camp in Palmer, MA). The receptionist at the hotel recommended the trail around the Ludlow Reservoir and it was very nice. It's a 3.2 mile paved path going around the Ludlow Reservoir - the path is mostly covered by woods. There were a handful of other bikers and runners on the path, but otherwise it was quite empty. I started out as an easy run, but then started to attack some of the smaller "hills" and finally started doing fartleks. Each successive mile was faster than the previous one - 10:09, 9:42, 9:28, 9:27 and 9:21. Overall 5 miles at 9:38/mi pace.
