A morning easy run which turned into a tempo run somehow. I started with two easy miles at a pretty consistent pace (10:01 and 9:58). My next two miles were at 8:50 and 9:11...whoa! I know this route starts uphill and then goes mostly downhill on the return of the loop, so I knew I was running a bit faster on the second half - but I didn't realize I was going that fast. I'll try to run an easier and longer run on Friday morning and then I'm planning to run the MCRRC Turkey Burnoff (only the 5 miler) on Saturday morning.
